The show begins in usual style, and we get straight underway with the first match of the evening.
MATCH 1 – Real Deal & The Game VS Flake and Huge Greenburger
Deal moves over to the outside of the apron, telling The Game that he’ll be starting the match against Flake. The bell rings and the match gets underway, with both Flake and The Game trying to out-do the other with a variety of armbars, wristlocks and headlocks, with neither man getting an advantage over the other. The Game pokes Flake in the eye and throws him into the corner, then throws Flake into the opposite corner. He dives in for a big splash but Flake dodges, hitting a reverse neckbreaker on The Game, and dropping a leg across the neck before going for a cover.
The Game kicks out after two and takes Flake’s legs out from under him, dropping an elbow as the German falls down and then taking hold of Flake’s left leg and locking in a standing leg lock. Flake quickly drags himself to the ropes and The Game breaks the hold, but only after kicking Flake viciously in the leg. The Game presses his advantage by bouncing Flake off the ropes and hitting a knee lift, followed by another quick elbow. The Game drags Flake to his corner and tags in Deal, who drops an elbow of his own on Flake before going for the cover. The ref counts…1…2…. Flake kicks out and starts crawling towards his corner. Deal takes his time, walking alongside Flake before kicking him in the side then dropping a forearm.
Deal picks Flake up and bounces him off the ropes. Deal goes for the clothesline which Flake ducks, bouncing off the opposite side and hitting Deal from behind with a facebuster. Flake tags in Greenburger, who lifts Deal to his feet with great difficulty, then repeats the facebuster. Greenburger gestures at the crowd wildly, a huge grin on his face as he starts hopping round in a semi-circle – S-L-U-G! Greenburger tries, and fails, to do the Scotty Too Hotty “belly flop” move, and reaches Deal out of breath and flustered. Greenburger does the “Huh! Huh! Huh!” arm gestures (same as Scotty) and hits a devestating finger to the temple.
Deal gets up immediately and rubs at his temple, before chasing Greenburger. Greenburger squeals and runs round in a circle, then slips up and falls out of the ring but carries on running, all the time followed by Deal. Greenburger slides back in the ring, but Deal catches up and clotheslines Greenburger from behind. Greenburger falls flat on his face and stays there. Deal tries to move him to his corner but has no luck. Deal moves over to tag in The Game, but The Game smacks Deal across the face!
Deal staggers back, giving The Game time to step into the ring and hit Deal with The Pedigree! The Game throws Greenburger onto Deal and the ref counts…1…2…3! The match is over. The Game smiles and exits the ring, walking backwards up the ramp as the Real Deal comes to. Deal stares with hatred at The Game as Greenburger and Flake celebrate the victory as we cut to a commercial.
“Over the Mountain” hits the PA system and Simon Prior makes his way down to ringside, microphone in hand.
“It’s about time I announced the next TWF PPV, don’t you think? I’m happy to announce that our next PPV extravaganza will be Disposable Heroes, presented live on Sunday 5th September. At this event, we’ll see the debut of a new member of the roster, who will be facing a current member of the roster in his first match. I can’t really say much about him other than he is another old face from the past, and we’re glad to finally offer him a contract here in the TWF.
After what’s just happened, I think we should see Real Deal VS The Game. You have a few things to settle between you, and I’d like to see you settle them in that ring. Now, for the main event. Tonight we’ve got the number one contender’s match between The Player and Vayne. The winner of this match will go on to face Sean Harrison for the TWF World title at Disposable Heroes. And one more thing before I go. Starting from Xtreme #9, we’ll be having an ongoing tournament for a new, Intercontinental title belt here in the TWF. The first matches will begin after Disposable Heroes, with the final taking place at the October PPV. Now it’s time for our main event, so back to the ring announcer.”
As Prior leaves the ring, the music hits for The Player, who makes his entrance in usual fashion. He is soon followed by Vayne, and then by the guest referee for the match, Sean Harrison. Harrison indicates for the bell and the match gets underway.
MATCH 2 – The Player VS Vayne (#1 Contenders match, Sean Harrison guest referee)
Both men lock up and break cleanly. They lock up again with The Player gaining the advantage, throwing Vayne against the ropes and hitting him with a backflip that sends Vayne crashing down into the mat. The Player lifts Vayne to his feet and locks in a sleeper, then lifts Vayne off his feet and hits the sleeper neckbreaker. He again lifts Vayne to his feet and hits him with a modified Rock Bottom that drops Vayne right on his shoulders. The Player covers Vayne for the pin, and Harrison drops down to count very slowly. He counts…1……………….2……………
Vayne kicks out. The Player stares at Harrison briefly before kicking Vayne in the gut and throwing him to the corner. The Player punches Vayne several times before lifting him onto the top turnbuckle and following him up. The Player sets up for the superplex… and hits it. He covers, and once again Harrison is slow going down to count. 1……………2…………..
Vayne kicks out easily. The Player again stares at Harrison and begins moving over towards him, but is distracted by Vayne who gets a big boot to the face for his troubles. The Player moves over to Harrison and has a few words with him before moving back over to Vayne, who hits The Player in the stomach with several elbows, then hits a modified Stunner and rolls him up for the cover. Harrison is quick down to the mat, but counts even slower. 1……………………….
The Player kicks out. Vayne swears at Harrison, and proceeds to put the boot to The Player, hitting a flipover neckbreaker and a low dropkick to the head of The Player. Vayne thinks about going for the cover, then decides against it. He lifts The Player up and throws him down with a bodyslam, before picking him up and dropping The Player down again with a clothesline. Vayne climbs the turnbuckle and hits the DeepVayne on the dazed Player. Vayne covers The Player for the pin, and Harrison moves to count..1……….2……….
Harrison stands up and refuses to count the three. Vayne confronts Harrison angrily, pushing him into a corner. Harrison pushes back, causing Vayne to fall into the waiting arms of The Player, who knocks Vayne to his feet and locks on the Crossface! Harrison gets in close and asks Vayne if he wants to tap. Vayne refuses, and tries to break the hold, but The Player has it locked in tight! Vayne struggles…. gets closer to the ropes….. the pain gets too much and he’s forced to tap out.
Harrison calls for the bell, declaring The Player the winner. As Vayne recovers on the mat, The Player attacks Harrison from behind, and the two get into a battle. Harrison gets in more punches, causing The Player to back off. Harrison swings a heavy punch that The Player ducks, but is unable to avoid the knee to the gut. Harrison lifts The Player up and hits the Difference Maker! As he reaches for his title belt, Vayne attacks, ramming Harrison into the corner and hitting him with a release fisherman’s suplex. Vayne climbs the turnbuckle, and hits a huge DeepVayne on Harrison from halfway across the ring. This time, Harrison stays down. Vayne grabs hold of the title belt, holds it up above his head and places a foot on the fallen body of Sean Harrison as Xtreme goes off the air!
