TWF Xtreme 05

The show gets off to a quick start following the intro sequence as Simon Prior makes his way towards the ring, microphone in hand.

“First of all I’d just like to say that I am shocked and appalled by the actions of many of our roster at Against All Odds this past Sunday. Not only did we have “The Stud” Gary Matthews take matters into his own hands against The Player, but we also had the Real Deal dish out more punishment than was necessary against Dirty Dipako. As a result of these needless assaults I’m left with two injured superstars. Fortunately The Player is able to return to action tonight, but Dipako has been hospitalized for at least 2 weeks, maybe more.

Deal, Stud – I hope you’re both very proud of yourselves for what you’ve done. You’ve made a mockery of what the TWF should be about. Therefore I have no other choice but to apply some very necessary discipline on you both. The Stud, you are hereby suspended from action until further notice. Real Deal…. due to a contractual clause I can’t suspend you. Hell, I don’t even have the power to fire you. So, instead I’ll issue the most severe punishment I can give you – a $100,000 fine. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to take such action. This goes out to all of you backstage – don’t push me, because I’ll push back twice as hard.”

Without another word, Prior’s music hits and he leaves the arena. We cut to backstage, where Greenburger is running down the corridor, trying not to lose his big pile of sweets. He bumps into Flake, sending the pile of sweets flying.

“Quickly Enormous Greenburger, we have our match next. We must get out to the arena!”

“Sorry Uncle Flake, but I had a big pile of sweeties to eat!”

“You can eat them after the match, now come on!”

They pick up most of the fallen sweets before running off camera. There is a brief crash heard in the background, no doubt caused by Greenburger running into something. We cut to another area backstage, where The Game is warming up for his match, when the Real Deal approaches. Like last week, neither man says a thing and just stares at the other, before Deal continues on his way. The Game continues lacing his boots and shakes his head as we cut to the arena.

MATCH 1 – Flake and Huge Greenburger VS The Player

The Player attacks Flake straight off the bat as Greenburger steps onto the apron. The Player stares at Greenburger, who starts crying, before turning back to Flake and throwing him into a corner. He throws several hard punches at Flake before slinging him into the opposite corner and hitting a big corner splash. Flake staggers out of the corner and is hit with a big clothesline that sends him crashing down to the mat. The Player covers, and gets a 2.

The Player throws Flake back into the corner, then reverses into the opposite corner, before sprinting forward and missing another splash as Flake ducks out of the way. It’s The Player’s turn to stagger back as Flake moves forward and hits a spinning DDT, then a flip over bodysplash on The Player. He covers and gets a 2, then drops an elbow on The Player and goes for another cover, getting another 2. Flake lifts The Player to his knees then hits a running dropkick to The Player’s head, who clutches at it in agony and rolls along the mat. Flake moves closer to attack when suddenly The Player sits up. They clash heads, causing The Player to go straight back down in agony.

Flake staggers backward to his corner where Greenburger tags himself in. He steps into the ring and faces off against The Player, still slightly shaken from clashing heads with Flake. Greenburger prods The Player in the gut, then gently kicks him in the shin, both of which have no effect whatsoever. The Player regains his senses and realises that it’s Greenburger prancing around him, not Flake. He smiles  and turns to face Greenburger, who continues his useless attempt at inflicting damage. The Player moves in closer and grabs Greenburger by the throat.

Tears begin to well up in Greenburger’s eyes as The Player attempts to hit Greenburger with a chokeslam. The first two attempts don’t go well – Greenburger proves too heavy! But The Player isn’t to be put off by this and tries again. With super-human effort he manages to lift Greenburger into the air and slam him down to the mat. The ring shakes and looks ready to snap in two, but fortunately remains in one piece. The Player covers…1…2….3. Flake attempts to break the count but is too slow getting back into the ring. The Player shakes his head to clear the cobwebs, then makes his way backstage, still clutching at his head, still obviously hurting from the match against The Stud.

We cut to backstage, where Vayne is checking himself out in the mirror. He gestures in favour of his appearance before walking out of his dressing room.

MATCH 2 – Real Deal VS The Game

The two men face off in the centre of the ring, standing toe to toe and not moving a muscle. After several seconds Real Deal smiles and backs off, turning away from The Game and facing the corner. The Game charges forward as if to attack Deal whilst he isn’t looking, but The Game stops short and smiles too. Deal turns around and faces The Game again, and offers his hand. The Game nods and smiles again, before shaking hands with Deal. They both raise their arms as Deal’s music hits and the two apparently celebrate the formation of a new team.

MATCH 3 – Sean Harrison VS Vayne (TWF World Championship)

Both men face up in the centre of the ring in this rematch from Against All Odds. Harrison turns away and walks towards his corner before the bell rings, giving Vayne the chance to surprise Harrison and take early control over the match. Harrison realises what Vayne has planned and sidesteps, causing Vayne to crash into the turnbuckle. Vayne spins round and receives a kick to the gut followed by a gut wrench suplex.

Harrison bounces off the ropes and drops a knee to the head of Vayne then lifts the challenger to his feet and knocks him straight back down with a stiff clothesline. He goes for the cover, but Vayne manages to kick out after 2, and throws a wild punch in Harrison’s direction, which connects with the champ’s head, staggering him. Vayne gets to his feet and hits Harrison with a dropkick, then another when Harrison refuses to fall.

Vayne scales the turnbuckle and hits a big elbow, then covers. Harrison kicks out after 2. Vayne continues the assault by throwing Harrison against the ropes and hitting a Samoan Drop on the champion. Vayne attempts a cover but is stopped by Harrison, who gets to his feet and grabs Vayne in a double chicken-wing hold, but Vayne reverses and flips Harrison over him and down to the mat. Harrison is straight to his feet but Vayne is quicker, knocking the champ down with a spinning heel kick followed by a flying punch off the ropes.

Vayne covers again, but only gets a 2. Harrison fights back gripping Vayne in a bearhug, then lifting the challenger off his feet and slamming him down to the mat. The ref begins to count as both men lie on the mat recovering. Harrison is the first to his feet, flipping Vayne over onto his stomach and placing him in a crossface variation hold. Vayne struggles and manages to reach the ropes, forcing Harrison to break the hold.

Harrison moves forward to inflict more damage, but Vayne trips him and sends Harrison flying headfirst into the turnbuckle. Harrison staggers backwards as Vayne climbs to the top turnbuckle, then dives off and hits the DeepVayne! Vayne covers for the pin and the referee counts…1…2…. Harrison kicks out. Vayne can’t believe his luck – the DeepVayne has failed to get the victory two matches in a row. Vayne, clearly angered, kicks Harrison in the back of his head as hard as possible before scaling the turnbuckle and hitting another DeepVayne.

He covers again and the ref counts…1…2….. Harrison kicks out again, just barely! Vayne still can’t understand why he hasn’t won, and covers Harrison again, who kicks out after 2. Vayne is incensed and goes for another cover, but this time Harrison spins Vayne over and locks in a variation of the small package. The ref counts…1…2…3! Somehow Harrison emerges as the victor! Vayne throws a strop on the mat, unwilling to accept that Harrison has managed to defeat him again, despite his best efforts.

Harrison retrieves his title and faces off against Vayne, clutching at his gut. They stare at each other for what seems like an eternity before Vayne lays out the champ with a stiff punch to the jaw. Vayne once more climbs to the top and hits a third DeepVayne on Harrison. He exits the ring as his music hits, leaving Harrison semi-conscious in the ring as Xtreme goes off the air.
