The Game VS Flake & Huge Greenburger

Following the copyright notice, we see the introduction video for Against All Odds. It features a series of images of the TWF roster, followed by a number of images of people defeating the odds, which is then followed by brief glimpses of each member of the roster once again before we cut to the arena and a huge fireworks display that almost completely lights up the dark arena. Without further ado the combined intro music of Flake and Greenburger hits the arena speakers and the introductions for the opening match begin.

MATCH 1 – The Game VS Flake & Huge Greenburger (2-1 Handicap Match)

Flake gestures for Greenburger to stand on the apron first as the bell rings. The Game attacks Flake from behind while the German athlete deals with Greenburger. The Game hits a neckbreaker and a knee drop to the head of Flake, then drops two elbows and hits a running knee off the ropes. He covers, but Flake escapes after 2. The Game slings Flake into the corner and hits a running knee to the gut of Flake, then hits him with a monkey flip. The Game presses his advantage by climbing to the second turnbuckle and dropping a fist to the head of Flake and attempting another cover.

Flake again kicks out after 2. Greenburger starts cheering on the apron, distracting The Game briefly, who approaches Greenburger’s corner. Greenburger begins crying and backs away down the steps as The Game approaches, unaware of Flake approaching behind him. Flake hits The Game in the centre of the back with a knee that sends The Game flying into the corner chest first. He staggers backwards as Flake grabs hold of him by the neck and hits a reverse neckbreaker. Flake climbs his corner and hits a reverse splash on The Game. He covers, but only gets a 2. He picks The Game up and body slams him, then locks in a headlock. He breaks the hold and instead places The Game in a surfboard stretch. The Game refuses to tap, and in the end Flake breaks the hold and dropkicks the back of The Game’s head. He covers and gets another 2 count. Flake stands up and looks around at the arena audience. He gestures towards Greenburger, asking if he should tag, and the crowd readily agree.

Flake tags in Greenburger, who steps into the ring and skips around the fallen Game. Greenburger builds up some courage and gently kicks The Game in the ribs before backing off. He steps forward again and gives The Game another gentle prod to the ribs with his foot before again backing off. Greenburger dances around the ring for a moment in happiness as The Game slowly recovers. Greenburger moves forward a third time but trips over his bootlace. He loses balance and lands squarely on The Game’s back. The Game gasps in agony as Greenburger stands up, looks apologetic and tags in Flake. Flake moves straight to the turnbuckle and waits for The Game to stand up. The Game takes his time, but slowly manages to get to his feet.

He staggers around in a circle, clutching at his chest as he turns round to face Flake’s corner. Flake leaps off and lands squarely on The Game, covering him. The ref counts…1..2….3. The match is over. Flake and Greenburger celebrate as The Game continues clutching at his chest in pain. Flake and Greenburger quickly stop their celebration and look concerned, before going over to check on The Game. They gesture for the EMT’s to come to ringside, and accompany them to the back with The Game safely secured on a stretcher.

MATCH 2 – The Stud VS The Player (“Strength VS Strength”)

The Stud attacks first sending The Player crashing into the corner. The Stud follows up his sudden attack with a number of punches and hard kicks to The Player’s mid-section, then lifts The Player up onto the turnbuckle and sets him up for a superplex. The Player escapes the hold and throws The Stud from the corner and down to the mat. He positions himself on the top turnbuckle then drops an elbow on his fallen opponent.

He locks in a sleeper, then quickly switches to a Dragon sleeper. He keeps the hold applied for a few moments before breaking it and dropping an elbow to the back of The Stud’s head. He picks The Stud up and body slams him, then bounces off the ropes and goes for a body splash. The Stud lifts his knees just in time, winding The Player. The Stud gets to his feet and lifts The Player up, who recovers quickly and head butts The Stud twice, before kneeing him in the gut and throwing him out of the ring. The Player follows The Stud outside and slams him into the ringpost.

He attempts a second, but The Stud blocks it and throws The Player into the ringpost instead. The Player retaliates with a headbutt and a hip toss onto the concrete outside. The Player kicks at The Stud and places him onto the ringside announcer’s table. He climbs onto the apron and leaps off, landing an elbow on The Stud. The Player takes a moment to recover before lifting The Stud up and throwing him into the ring.

The ref breaks the count and starts again as The Player reaches beneath the ring, grabbing a sledgehammer and climbing back into the ring. The ref grabs hold of the sledgehammer and throws it to one side. The Player argues with the ref as The Stud gets to his feet and charges forward. The Player steps aside, allowing the ref to take the full force of The Stud’s attack. The Stud turns around and hits a big boot to the face of The Player. The Stud grabs the sledgehammer as the ref begins to recover.

He steps towards The Player and smacks him in the side of the head with the weapon. The ref sees this and calls for the disqualification. The Stud continues his assault on The Player, attacking him in the stomach, back, legs and head with the sledgehammer. Officials run down to ringside with security and somehow manage to take the sledgehammer from The Stud without much trouble. The Player is taken out of the arena on a stretcher, still trying to get up and carry on fighting.

MATCH 3 – Real Deal VS Dirty Dipako (First Blood Steel Cage Match)

The two men lock up in the centre of the ring, surrounded by steel. Deal gains the advantage, grabbing Dipako with a headlock. Dipako throws Deal to the ropes and hits a perfect dropkick, then executes a standing back-flip splash on Deal. He goes for a cover, then realises that pinfalls don’t count in this match. He starts working on Deal’s forehead with a flurry of punches. Deal manages to knock Dipako away but is not quick enough recovering to gain any control over the match. Dipako hits a running neckbreaker flip on Deal, then begins work on Deal’s legs with a standing figure four leg lock.

Dipako throws as much pressure on Deal as he can, before rolling forward, maintaining the hold in a pin combination. He holds this for as long as he can before finally breaking the hold. Deal gets to his feet and limps slightly. Dipako charges towards him as Deal sidesteps and slings Dipako headfirst into the steel cage. Dipako bounces off the cage and hits the mat hard. Deal drops an elbow on Dipako, then lifts him up and throws him into a corner.

He spins Dipako round and starts banging his head against the turnbuckle. The ref calls for Deal to stop after 10 hits, but Deal pushes the ref away and continues to inflict damage on Dipako. Deal continues the assault as Dipako raises a leg between Deal’s legs, hitting an unfair but very effective low blow. Deal falls to the ground clutching his lower parts as Dipako shakes his head and tries to clear the cobwebs. He picks Deal up and rams his head into the steel, running Deal’s head across it in an attempt at ripping open his forehead.

He looses hold of Deal and bulldog’s him into the mat. Dipako scales the turnbuckle and attempts a body splash, but Deal ducks out of the way and takes a few more moments to recover as Dipako lies injured. Deal is the first to get back to his feet and takes time to ram Dipako’s head into the steel multiple times before bouncing him off the ropes and hitting a fall away slam. He punches Dipako in the head several times before again slinging him into the cage. Dipako bounces off the mat, lifting his head up to reveal that his old wound from a few weeks back has been split open.

Blood starts to pour as the ref calls for the bell. Deal’s music hits, but the assault isn’t over. Deal sets Dipako up for the Deal Maker and hits it, then picks the Londoner up and hits the move again. The ref opens the cage door and Deal steps out, grabbing a steel chair and returning inside. The ref tries to stop Deal, but is pushed aside again and attacked with the steel chair. Dipako stands up groggily and is immediately laid out with a vicious chair shot. Deal continues attacking Dipako with the steel chair until officials arrive at ringside and manage to get the chair off Deal. Dipako is carried out of the arena by officials and EMT’s as Deal looks on, smiling.

MATCH 4 – Sean Harrison VS Vayne (TWF World Championship)

The two men circle each other as the bell rings. They stare across the ring at each other, each man refusing to leap into action and make a mistake straight away. They slowly approach one another and lock up in the centre of the ring. Harrison throws Vayne across it and into a corner. Vayne stands up and returns to the centre of the ring. They lock up again, and the same happens. Vayne returns to the centre of the ring a second time and locks up with Harrison, but puts the champion in a headlock before he can be thrown into the corner again.

Harrison reverses into the ropes, then steps forward and lifts Vayne over his head and out of the ring over the top rope. The ref starts the count as Harrison steps back, content to get the easy win. The ref reaches 4 and Harrison has a change of heart, stepping out through the ropes and assisting Vayne back into the ring with force. He climbs back in and drops a leg across the neck of Vayne, then lifts him up and hits two shoulder breakers before dropping him down to the canvas. He covers. 1…2..

Vayne kicks out. Harrison lifts Vayne to his feet, but is hit with a few elbows to the gut. Vayne bounces off the ropes and hits a flying fist to the head, but it only staggers the champion. Vayne bounces off the ropes again and hits another flying fist to the head of Harrison, which again fails to take the big man down. Vayne bounces off the ropes a third time, ducks an attempted clothesline from Harrison, then hits a spear. He drops a fist on Harrison, then an elbow to the gut, then covers him, getting a 2 count.

Harrison stands up, unfazed from the recent attack and hits a huge clothesline on Vayne. He bounces off the ropes and hits a big leg drop before going for the cover. 1…2… Vayne kicks out but in the process rolls Harrison up for a small package! The ref counts…1….2. Harrison kicks out, clubbing Vayne in the back with a stiff forearm shot before bouncing him off the ropes, catching him on the way back with a Samoan Drop. He lifts Vayne to his feet and gorilla presses him over his head, before quickly loosening his hold, grabbing Vayne on the way down and slamming him down quickly to the mat.

He picks Vayne up again and throws him to the ropes. He attempts a big boot but Vayne ducks it, returning off the opposite ropes and hitting a DDT on the champ. Vayne scales the turnbuckle and waits for Harrison to get to his feet. Vayne hits the DeepVayne on Harrison and covers. It’s gonna be all over! 1….2…Harrison kicks out! Vayne can’t believe it, and sets Harrison up for another DeepVayne. He leaps from the turnbuckle, but is caught in mid-air by Harrison. He throws Vayne into the Difference Maker and hits it!

He thinks about going for a cover, then lifts Vayne to his feet and hits the Attitude Adjustment! The ref counts…1…2….3! Harrison retains the TWF World title! He grabs his belt from ringside as Vayne lies in the centre of the ring, defeated. Harrison parades around the ring showing off the gold as Against All Odds fades out.
