TWF Fuel 09

Due to the court proceedings between Adam Phillips and Real Deal, the TWF was unable to broadcast for the Christmas period, as investigations were taking place into all of those involved in the company. As the crowd take this information in, Ax’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring, carrying his as yet undefended TWF Championship. Once in the ring Ax picks up a mike and addresses the audience.

“I’ve come out here tonight to make a few points, Iv been in this business for a long time, and I’ve seen them all, I’ve seen Hogan, Savage, Bulldog, Austin, The Rock even Andre the Giant. I’ve seen a lot of people win world championships, and they all thought they were the greatest, they all thought they deserved it. Now it’s been a month since TWF was last active, but for those of you who missed the final Fuel of last year, let me tell you what happened. A man who actually deserved to win a world title, a man who’s built a legacy of some 30 years in this business, and a man who demands respect from everyone became the new TWF world Champion, that man was ME. (Looking very emotional) I have truly done it all, and I thought to myself why should I give a shit anymore, I’m better than all those back in the locker room, I’m better than all you in the audience, hell I’m a true legend. I gotta be honest I’ve been thinking about retiring, you know, go out on top. But I’ve decided that that just wouldn’t be right. There still remains one man who needs an ass kickin’ of a lifetime, one man who needs to learn to respect me. That man is Reaper. I close by saying, I don’t give a shit about anyone else, but you Reaper will be my bitch.”
Adam Phillips is seen backstage, searching for Real Deal. However, despite looking in several likely areas, his search proves fruitless.

Match – Vayne VS Flake

The match starts relatively quickly, as Vayne blindsides the German, sending him hurtling into the corner, and proceeds to lay some punches into Flake’s head. The ref breaks up the two up, allowing Flake some time to recover, before Vayne once again attacks, locking in an armbar and throwing him into the ropes. Flake dodges the attempted clothesline and swings behind Vayne attempting a schoolboy pin, getting a quick two count. Vayne reacts angrily and clotheslines Flake hard. He considers attempting a pinfall, but instead locks on a reverse armbar. Flake crawls towards the ropes as Vayne increases the pressure, and makes it. Flake moves to his feet as Vayne kicks him viciously in the chest and arms. Vayne continues his assault; hitting Flake with a gut wrench suplex, and a quick cover, with a 2 count being the result. Vayne picks Flake up, but is caught unawares by a savage elbow to the gut. He releases Flake, who bounces off the ropes, and hits a running neck breaker. Flake climbs the turnbuckle and attempts a moonsault. However, Vayne rolls out of the way, and Flake misses his target. Vayne gets to his feet and hits a standing drop kick on Flake, before scaling the turnbuckle and waiting for the German to climb groggily to his feet. Vayne mockingly salutes the crowd as he hits the DeepVayne on Flake, and pins him 1,2,3 in the centre of the ring. The crowd boo, but then Vayne grabs a mike from ringside, and they are unsure what is going to happen.

“Hello to all my fans here tonight, that match simply proves my point, that I am the best in the TWF, and you should all love me for it. I don’t need gold to prove my worth, just the satisfaction of teaching people what I am capable of. Some people don’t get it, but then your not all as smart as me. They…”

Vayne is cut off as he is blindsided by Spitfire, who emerges from the crowd! Vayne attempts to fight back, but is thoroughly disorientated by this sneak attack, resulting in Spitfire hitting his patented 450-degree Backflip elbow, ending with a huge pop from the crowd. Following a short commercial we return to the action, as Reaper makes his way to ringside.

“I’m gonna get straight to the point, Ax your time as champion is very limited. You wanna get evil with me, you got it. I suggest a TWF title match at the next PPV, where I will destroy you old man, and put you where you should be, an old peoples home.

The crowd roar with approval, as Cyclops hits the arena sound system, followed by Ax entering the arena once more, and slowly making his way to the ring. He picks up a mike and goes face to face with Reaper. There is a tense silence for a few moments, before he speaks.

“You talk a load of shit, you ain’t ever been able to beat me fairly, and you never will, I’ve paid my dues boy, you ain’t even started paying yet. So I say you’re on Reaper, you and me will fight and I will prove to the world that you are just another wannabe.”

The crowd cheer, but are cut off by I Just Wanna Be God, as Adam Phillips steps onto the stage area. The crowd cheer, but are unsure as to what Phillips is doing there. He waits for the fans cheering to subside before speaking.

“Hold on you two, before you go and kick the crap out of each other. I cannot sanction this match, due to the whole company being under investigation after what happened at the end of the last show. Therefore, due to this fact, there may be no PPV this month. Hell, there may be no more TWF once the investigation is all said and done! Because of Real Deal, the TWF may be forced to close, I’m sad to admit. Here’s hoping they lock him up for what he’s done. Now get out of the ring, I need a match to relieve some of the stress that’s been building up the last few weeks, so get the hell outta my ring.”

He makes his way to the ring as Reaper and Ax slowly depart. Phillips climbs into the ring, and speaks into the mike once more. Reaper pauses briefly at the top of the stage to glance towards the ring, then returns backstage.

“Okay, facing me in this ring tonight will be….”

He thinks for a few moments, leaving the crowd in suspense.

“… Xander Rivers!”

Rivers’ music hits, and the Extreme Champion enters, unsure as to why he alone has been singled out.

Match – Adam Phillips VS Xander Rivers

Both men circle the ring as the bell sounds for the match to begin. Rivers is the first to begin an attack, but Phillips sidesteps his effort with relative ease, surprising the Extreme Champion. Phillips moves in with a double axe handle to the back of Rivers’ head, and DDT’s him in the centre of the ring. Phillips plays to the crowd for a moment, before bouncing off the ropes and splashing Rivers with a Senton bomb. He covers him, but only gets a two count. Phillips lifts Rivers to his feet and goes for a jackhammer suplex, but Rivers reverses, ending up behind Phillips and locking him in a reverse bear hug, before hitting a release German Suplex. Rivers walks over to the semi conscious Phillips and places him in a figure four leg-lock variant, but he does so too close to the ropes, and Phillips is able to break the hold. Rivers gets back to his feet and executes a running neck flip on Phillips, before quickly covering him, this time getting a two count. Climbing to his feet once more, Rivers picks up Phillips, and issues a snap powerbomb, before once more attempting the cover, and again getting a two count. Phillips takes sudden control of the match, hitting Rivers with a backdrop suplex when he least expects it, and rolling over for the cover, getting a two count. He stands, performs another Senton splash on the prone Rivers, then moves to the corner, climbs to the second turnbuckle, and then hits Rivers with a flying elbow, and gaining the cover. The ref counts the one, two, three, and the end bell rings. The crowd cheer loudly, and I Just Wanna Be God hits the speakers. Phillips makes his way up the ring, celebrating his victory. However, halfway up the ramp his music cuts out, and Deal’s music hits instead. Phillips looks to the ramp in annoyance as Deal enters the arena, amidst chants of murderer and general booing from the crowd. Deal waits for this to die down.

“I don’t care what any of you say. I’m innocent, and I’ll do my damnedest to prove it, come hell or high water.”

Phillips charges up the ramp and attacks Deal. They scuffle for a few moments before going backstage through the main curtain. The cameras follow the action, beaming it onto the screens in the arena. They both fight all the way to the locker room area, using whatever weapons they can find along the way to gain an advantage, and end up inadvertently entering Reaper’s locker room, where we see Reaper preparing his bag to leave for the night. Deal throws Phillips in Reaper’s direction, who promptly knocks the owner to the ground with a stiff punch to the jaw. Before Reaper can make an attack on Real Deal, the police burst in and handcuff Deal, and bustle him out of the room. Deal protests his innocence as Reaper smiles and Fuel goes off the air.
