TWF Fuel 06

Fuel begins as we see clips of last week’s show, focusing on the altercations between Real Deal and Adam Phillips last week. We cut to the arena, where the announcer introduces Adam Phillips, and Wicked Young Man (Alice Cooper) plays as the crowd look confused. But instead of Adam Phillips, the Real Deal enters and makes his way to ringside, decked out in his smart suit, and a pair of glasses. He climbs into the ring and takes the mike.

“As many of you may have noticed, I am not Adam Phillips. Look at me – I am a businessman, a man of honour, class, and stature. Look at Adam Phillips with his “Vince McMahon-like” ego (A picture of Adam Phillips from End of Days 2001 is shown.) You see, he looks well dressed, smart, and shorthaired. Which is how it should be. And wearing glasses, which states he is a real businessman. He looks powerful. Now lets look at Adam Phillips from last week…. He is completely dressed in black…. who does he think he is, Ozzy Osbourne? The leather jacket, now who does that remind me of? Oh yeah, Eric Bischoff. And the flame t-shirt… I mean, did Reaper give him that? I don’t know what they did to you in the last year in Wales but I ain’t going there! And as for the hair – where’s the smart trimmed back and sides, you look like…. like Shawn Bloody Michaels! So Adam, I hope you are listening up in your mobile home somewhere, because as far as I am concerned you can stay there, and as for tonight….”

I Just Wanna Be God hits. The crowd erupts. Adam Phillips walks on followed by 12 local Police officers!

‘”Why don’t you shut up you miserable, rotund, sweaty, boring bitch! I mean I did some pointless speeches in my time Prior, but are you trying to cause a mass suicide or what! Now you listen up you sad son of a bitch! (Crowd erupt.) 12 months ago I left my company with a man who had a pair, if you know what I mean, not the idiot I see before me today. An idiot who is wearing glasses even though he has 20:20 vision. Now if you got a problem with me wearing a leather jacket I suggest you just get the hell out of here, and don’t let the door hit you where the dog should have bit you on the way out.

Prior looks confused.

“What?”

“What I am saying, Prior, is I have put up with you wearing PJ’s with big holes in them for 3 years now and it just ain’t gonna cut it anymore, so I was about to come and give you your bag from the locker room and tell you were having a back alley brawl with Reaper tonight… but then I accidentally saw something in that bag.”

Adam raises a sealed plastic bag, which contains the white mask of Fallen Angel.

“It all makes perfect sense now. There was one other person who me and Joey respected enough to give control when we left, so you took him out, didn’t you, you bastard! Now you carry around Fallen Angel’s mask trying to lay it onto someone else for blame, well you ain’t gonna get away with it tonight, officers arrest that man!”

The officers move into the ring. Deal throws off several of them before they take him down, cuff him, and drag him up the ramp past Phillips. He hurls abuse at Phillips as he is escorted backstage.

‘So then, as for the rest of the night, tonight Ax and Flake Spitzenkörper will face each other. And I pulled a few strings to make sure that German Metal Legends Rammstein will be here, playing live next week on Fuel! (The crowd goes nuts.) I don’t get why you like them, but if you want them you are gonna get them”

Suddenly, Ax appears from behind Phillips. He spins him around and smacks him with a kendo stick before doing the Ax Cutter onto a metal grill section of the stage. As medical staff come out to assist Phillips, Ax picks up a microscope, and starts to talk into it. He quickly realises that it’s not a microphone, and throws it down, picking up the mike that Phillips had dropped.

“The only man you respected was Fallen Angel… what about me? You will respect me, all of you will.”

He throws down the mike and picks up his kendo stick, and proceeds to attack Phillips with it, with several painful shots to the ribs and back. He attacks a few medical staff also. Reaper’s music hits, and Reaper himself runs in, attacking Ax and setting him up for a Blood Scythe. Ax manages to reverse the move, and hits him in his injured head, before making a break for it through the crowd and disappears momentarily. As Reaper aids the injured medics, Ax appears on the video screen. He is running outside. Interviewer Craig Brooks chases after him, and eventually catches up, and asks him why he just did what he did.

“Adam Phillips just learned a lesson in respect, one which Reaper will learn soon too. Real Deal was right, Adam Phillips has changed, and he just learned that its better to be with me than against me. Tonight I have a match against Flake, but why wait till later for some respect….”

The camera pans across to reveal Reaper’s car parked nearby.

“You know, rumour has it that Reaper was backstage earlier bragging about something he bought today. Rumour has it, it’s in his boot….”

He walks over to the car, conveniently pulls out a sledgehammer, smashes the lock on the car boot, and opens it. He pulls out a guitar case, opens it and removes the guitar contained within.

“I’m no expert, but this looks like a BC Rich Kerry King Signature Warlock, With Black Finish, complete with Tribal markings and a Floyd-Rose Tremolo! Hmm, that must have put him back at least $3000. Oh well.”

He smashes the guitar on the floor, and hits it with the sledgehammer. Camera cuts to the paramedics placing Phillips into an ambulance. Adam Cresswell gets a few words from him before he is whisked away.

“Just before I leave, we will have Reaper VS Rivers in a non-title match. And Ax, you’re gonna pay for this, you son of a bitch! Oh yeah, seeing as I’m the only one here who can do it, the next TWF PPV, on November 24th 2002, will be Architecture of Aggression!”

He is placed into the ambulance, and it drives off. We cut back to the arena, and God Is In The Radio plays, with X Rivers making his way to the ring, carrying his hard-earned Extreme Championship with him. He takes a mike, and speaks for the first time. He has a slightly “upper class” accent.

“I would like to just let you know that it is a real honour to be a part of the TWF, and it is also an honour to be the first ever TWF Extreme Champion. I will defend this title to the best of my ability, and I dedicate my matches to the memory of my father. Thank you.”

The crowd applaud, and Return To Hangar plays. Reaper makes his way to ringside, still slightly bruised from the attacks from the last few weeks. The bell rings, and the match gets underway.

Match – X Rivers VS Reaper (Non-title)

Both men tie up, and slowly circle the ring, neither man gaining a suitable advantage for some time. Reaper manages to spin Rivers round, and places him in a bearhug manoeuvre, and proceeds to ram Rivers into the turnbuckle. Reaper issues several stiff kicks to the midsection of Rivers, before choking him momentarily. Reaper picks him up and hits Rivers with a jarring set of rib-breakers, before throwing him down. He stomps on Rivers face before attacking the legs and placing Rivers in a half Boston Crab. Rivers refuses to tap, despite being quite beat up. Reaper releases the hold, and picks up the groggy Rivers, throwing him against the ropes and hitting him with a vicious clothesline. He picks him up again, and chokeslams the now extremely hurt Rivers into the mat. Reaper considers going for the cover, but instead chooses to lift him up to his feet once more, and executes the Blood Scythe, before finally going for the cover, easily gaining the 1,2,3. The match proved that it’s not a good idea being in Reaper’s way when one of his guitars has been trashed!

We cut backstage to the interview area, where Craig Brooks interviews the first and also current TWF Champion, Vayne.

“Mr Vayne, do you have any comments on what took place between The Real Deal and Adam Phillips today?”

“You know what? I couldn’t care less. I’m sick of the Real Deal anyway. I mean, what’s with this guy? His ego is like, well out proportion. I mean who does he think he is? And what’s with this Adam Phillips? Anyway, none of that matters. I’m sure everyone is happy to know that the TWF Champion Vayne is here tonight. But wouldn’t you know it, I haven’t got a match tonight. Phillips and Deal were too busy squabbling to give me one, so I guess I’ve got the night off. But it’s okay. I’m sure all my fans are happy that they got to see me in the flesh. Oh, and one more thing. I’d like to address the current issues with…”

He is interrupted by the loud noise of a large group of people bustling by. He turns to Brooks and says.

“What the hell are those fans doing back here? Get them out of here! (To the fans) HEY! Get the hell out of here! Security!”

He walks forward to confront them, and we see a man climb onto the interview area’s stage backdrop. He performs a flying kick to the back of Vayne’s head, sending him to the ground. The camera pans up to see the young-looking assailant, wearing casual, “Nu-Metal” style clothing, including a hoodie. We get a glimpse of short black hair, with uniquely styled black spikes. He smiles, and runs off quickly. Camera focuses on the dazed Vayne as we cut to the arena. Zwitter plays through the arena, and Flake makes his way to the ring for his match, closely followed, amazingly, by Huge Greenburger. Ax quickly moves to the ring as soon as his music hits, and immediately takes the fight to Flake.

MATCH: Flake (W/Greenburger) VS Ax

Ax begins ferociously, beating Flake repeatedly over the head. He throws Flake to the outside, and lets the ref start the count. Flake is able to get back in after 2 seconds, but is stomped by the waiting Ax upon re-entering the ring. Ax drops an elbow, then locks in a tight headlock. Flake manages to stand, and backdrops Ax, who is still vainly attempting to maintain the hold. Flake climbs to second turnbuckle and executes a diving elbow to Ax, and gets a quick 2 count. He lifts Ax to his feet, and attempts a flying cross body chop, but Ax ducks, leaving Flake sprawled on the floor. Greenburger looks worried on the outside, and starts moving over to the fallen Flake, but is stopped by a single glare from Ax. Ax kicks Flake a few more times, and elbows him over the back of the head, before attempting a pinfall, only gaining a 2 count. Deciding he needs a new strategy, Ax leaps to the outside to grab his kendo stick. There is a cheer from the crowd, and Adam Phillips slowly makes his way to ringside. Ax doesn’t notice, and climbs back into the ring as Flake reaches his knees. Phillips jumps onto the ring apron shakily, and Ax finally notices his presence. However, the referee gets in Phillips’ face, preventing him from getting in the ring and confronting the man who sent him to hospital earlier in the show. Ax, seizing the opportunity inadvertently given to him by Phillips, smacks Flake hard over the head with the kendo stick, the sound reverberating across the arena. Flake slumps to the floor as Phillips looks shocked and jumps down from the apron. The ref turns back round in time to see Ax cover Flake, and get an easy victory. Phillips can’t believe that he aided Ax, even if it was involuntarily, and returns backstage cursing. Greenburger pulls Flake out of the ring, and starts talking to the unconscious German via Mr. Saddo. Ax picks up his kendo stick again and salutes the crowd mockingly, as Fuel goes off the air.
