The intro ends, and highlights of last week’s show are shown to the crowd. As they begin to wonder who will be making their way out first, the screen cuts to the backstage area, where we see interviewer Craig Brooks.
“Tonight, I’m out here waiting for anyone to arrive. Rumour has it that the legendary Adam Phillips will be here tonight, and if he is then I’ll be here to get an exclusive interview.”
Real Deal appears from off screen.
“Adam Phillips won’t be here tonight. And if he is, I’ll have him removed. Now go and do some real work, Brooks.”
Deal moves towards the entrance ramp, but is stopped by Ax, who gets in Deal’s face.
“Ax I am a very busy man, I gotta show to run. Now get out of my way before…”
Deal is cut off as Ax kicks over a table in frustration.
“Before you what? How about before you tell me what the f**k you were doin’ last week costing me the title? You wanna start something Deal, because you obviously don’t respect me, and as for that piss ass son of a bitch champion well….”
Deal stops Ax.
“Ax I promise you that was a complete accident and I promise you tonight I will make it up to you, now hit my music”
Deal’s music hits, as he walks to the ring with his briefcase. He opens it and takes out a few sheets of paper before speaking into the mike.
“Tonight you were expecting something big, and I am gonna give it you. Tonight the match you’ve wanted to see for a long time, and once these forms are signed the only time, its gonna be Ax against………..Reaper.”
Music Hits – I Just Wanna be God – Alice Cooper, clips of Adam Phillips from the old era, looking arrogant, appear on the screen wall. The word live appears in the bottom corner, and the camera pans up the leg and to the face of Adam Phillips. The face is in a shadow so very little can be seen as the music stops.
“Deal, look at you, you’re trying to be someone who you’re not, you are trying to be a business man, a man of class, a man of honour, a man one step down from God almighty himself…..you’re trying to be Adam Phillips dammit.”
The room Phillips is in now lights up – a different man from whom we last saw in the old era is stood there. No longer dressed in a suit, Phillips is stood in black boots, black jeans, a flame effect T-shirt and a 3/4 length black leather jacket. His hair is now longer, and pulled back (Shawn Michaels style) into a ponytail. After the crowd have stopped chanting Phillips he smiles and looks dead into the screen.
“I don’t believe you, you think you’re a business man, and you book a match that could highlight the next PPV, even though you know that one of the athletes isn’t even up for it. Well, things have just been changed. Tonight Deal, there are gonna be some matches. I think we should see how much respect this new Xander guy can earn against Ax in a Hardcore match. The winner will become the new, TWF Extreme Champion Title. (The crowd go mad.) I thought you guys might like that one. (Crowd applauds) And to be honest Prior I think you are putting on weight! It’s time you had a match up. Now let me think…. tonight you are gonna be in a match, and that match is gonna be against….. Vayne! Non-title of course.”
Deal starts shouting.
“Shut the hell up! Now where are you, you son of a bitch? Crawling round the back passages? You have no authority over me, not now, not ever! I presume someone has set up a satellite connection and you’re in Wales. But it doesn’t matter – even if you were here you wouldn’t have power over me, let alone this company. So where are you, dammit?”
“Why Prior, where else but in you nicely refurbished office! And how have I managed this? Because
I am Wrestling,
I am Sports Entertainment,
I am Adam Phillips dammit, and don’t you forget it you son of a bitch.”
Deal drops the mike and runs to the back with his brief case in hand. He gets back to his office, only to discover that there is nobody there. He glances round briefly, and quickly double-checks the room. Happy that there is nobody about, Deal slowly leaves.
Match: Ax VS X Rivers (Hardcore rules, TWF Extreme Champion Title)
The match gets immediately underway, with Rivers hitting Ax with a corkscrew arm drag, followed by a diving elbow smash. Ax fights back, and throws Rivers into the corner and gives him a boot choke. Ax rakes Rivers’ face. Ax swings at Rivers with his kendo stick, but misses, and then gets hit by a jumping sidekick from Rivers, who follows it up by grabbing Ax’s kendo stick and smacking it over his back. Ax stands wearily, and is hit with a jumping bulldog, followed by a quick 2 count. Ax fights back, hitting Rivers with the Atomic Drop, then exits the ring in search of weapons. He pulls out a trashcan, a stop sign, and a 2×4. He holds the Stop sign up, and is hit by Rivers diving through the ropes to the outside, leaving both men dazed on the ground. Both slowly return to their feet, and the match resumes, moving quickly to the stage area, where a forearm choke by Ax nearly gets him disqualified by the unsure referee. Rivers tries to jump Ax, but Ax sees him and ducks out of the way, with Rivers flying into the steel entrance structure. He kicks Rivers several times, and gets a 2 count. Ax spots a table down the side of the stage, and indicates that Rivers will go through it. He delivers an Ax-Cutter to the dazed Rivers and, rather than pin him, sets him up for a powerbomb off the stage. Before he can execute the move, Reaper rushes out, head bandaged and not looking 100%. He hits Ax from behind, then hits him with the Blood Scythe, before throwing him off the stage and through the table. The crowd roar with approval as Reaper leaves, the damage being done. Rivers gets to his feet, and sees that Ax is prone at the side of the stage. He glances round at the crowd, who all start shouting loudly. Steeling himself, rivers leaps from the stage, executing a perfect body splash on Ax. The move takes a lot out of him, but just about manages to cover Ax. The ref counts the 1,2,3, and Rivers becomes the new TWF Extreme Champion! EMT’s rush out to help both men, as the crowd give them a standing ovation.
A video plays on the wall screen, and the narrator states that Flake and Greenburger are not present in the arena, as they are at a Rammstein concert. We cut to live footage from the concert, as Flake dances to his theme song, Zwitter. Greenburger stands next to him, crying and covering his ears. The song ends, and Greenburger looks happier, but Buck Dich starts almost immediately after, and he resumes his crying. Flake leaps about the place, angering a large, bald, and hairy man, who has multiple body piercing. Flake smiles and steps back. Greenburger looks towards the stage, where he sees lead singer Till pull out a fake penis from his trousers, and liberally sprays the crowd with the liquid that pours from it. Greenburger and Flake get plastered in it. Flake loves every minute, but Greenburger soon passes out from shock. We cut back to the TWF arena as the audience laugh at the footage. Symphony of Destruction begins to play almost immediately, and Deal makes his way to the ring. Vayne soon follows, and both men stare at each other before the match begins.
Match: Vayne VS Real Deal (Non-title)
Both men lock up, and for a few minutes neither man has an advantage. Deal turns the tide by poking Vayne in the eye, and smacking him across his still injured nose. He follows up with a clothesline and a headlock. Vayne bounces off the ropes, and Deal is forced to release the hold, returning towards Vayne and receiving a flying shoulder tackle for his troubles. Deal falls to the ground, and Vayne moves quickly to the second turnbuckle, executing an elbow drop to Deal’s chest, and gets a 1 count. He follows up with a knee to the side of Deal’s head, and attempts another quick cover, this time getting a two count. He lifts Deal, and clamps on a sitting Full Nelson. Deal refuses to tap, and slowly manages to get to his feet. The crowd, not exactly pleased with either competitor, are delighted to see Deal get hurt. He makes his way to his feet, and crushes Vayne in the corner, before hitting him with an avalanche. Deal lifts the winded Vayne to his feet, and hits a double arm DDT, and gets a 2 count. He attacks Vayne’s lower back for a few moments, before hitting him with a side slam and another 2 count. Deal picks Vayne up once more, and sets him up for a Deal-Breaker, but Vayne reverses, going over Deal’s shoulder and attempting the school boy pin, but Deal kicks out after 2. Vayne quickly takes advantage, and slings Deal into the ropes, hitting the Frankensteiner, followed by a back flip body splash, and another 2 count. Both men get to their feet and start slugging it out. As Deal begins to take control, the face of Adam Phillips once more appears on the wall screen.
“Hey Deal, you’ll never guess where I am. (Laughs) That’s right, in your office, the office that I was in earlier – I guess you didn’t see me?”
Deal throws Vayne to the floor, and quickly runs to the backstage area. The ref starts his count. 1,2,3,4,5…. Vayne gets to his feet, and wonders where Deal has gone. 6,7,8,9,10. Vayne is declared the winner! The wall-screen shows Deal running backstage, and approaches his office. He bangs on the door and tries to open it, but it’s locked.
“Dammit not my new door!”
He rams the door and smashes the lock off. He picks himself up and stares straight into Adam’s eyes.
“You are gonna pay for this, Phillips.”
“I don’t think so, DEAL!”
Phillips smiles as the camera pans to show that Reaper is stood behind Deal. Reaper’s head is still heavily bandaged, and he looks furious. Reaper swings Deal around smashing him over the head with his brief case, leaving Deal busted open and out cold. Phillips picks up the brief case, smiling. He speaks to the unconscious Deal.
“As I said Prior, I am back in control and why?
Because I am wrestling,
I am sports entertainment.
I am Adam Phillips dammit!”
He moves to leave, but Reaper grabs his arm, stopping him.
“What do you want now?”
Reaper looks at him dead on.
“Now we got a deal right…..you don’t mess around with me and I won’t hurt you….you know what I am saying? We may not like each other, probably never will, but you run this company a lot better than him and if you don’t cost me any matches I won’t cost you any medical bills. Deal?”
Adam looks up and goes to leave, but is stopped again.
“Have we got a deal?”
Adam smiles.
“Yeah we got a deal….. I ain’t got no problem with you anymore if you ain’t got one with me.”
“Where does Ax come in to it then?”
“He doesn’t. I will make the match but that is as far as I will go. Now if you don’t mind, I got to sort this company out.”
Reaper leaves. Phillips mutters under his breath:
“…even if I still smell bull… won’t get involved my ass”
There is a lingering shot of Adam Phillips as Fuel goes off the air.
